I am terribly concerned about this
So Josh has pointed out to me that my recaps are a little on the verbose side. I am absolutely addicted to Television Without Pity, which is probably why they tend to be this way. I will watch a show and read a recap there, even though they are sort of written for people who have missed an episode.
I am also writing these as an excuse to rewatch this season before the Christmas special. I am bad at blogging, as I've already said, so this allows me to sort of kill two birds with one stone. I will be rewatching the episodes, so I might as well get some posts out of it.
However, I'm a little worried that no one is interested. I will definitely post my recap of The Beast Below, but I might just skip around the series and pick out the good episodes that I feel deserve/need proper recaps. It's a lot of work and if no one cares I'd rather not invest the time. So are you interested?
(This basically boils down to my basic blogging fear, which is that no one really cares what I have to say and it's very wrong of me to assume that they do. I am trying to make my Beast Below recap a little less straight recappy and more commentary-y, but we'll see how that goes.)

You are overly concerned. Effing deal with it, and post what you like in exactly the fashion you'd like without caring what people think. The whole point of a multi-topic multi-author blog is to give people the option of an a la carte blogging experience.
ReplyDeleteSays the jerk face who made me concerned about it in the first place! I just don't want to clog up our blog with my over loquacious rantings about a show no one watches on this side of the pond anyway.
ReplyDeleteSays the person who just pulled out the fife-dollarest word she could think of.
ReplyDeleteActually I was avoiding using it in my post, due to the fact that I am absolutely convinced that the only reason anyone else would be aware of its existence is Hermione's use of it in The Goblet of Fire movie. So yeah! If I wanted to show off I totally would've thesaurus.com'd it and picked an even longer one!
ReplyDeleteThat's my fear too! And no one comments on my blog!!! What is this Television Without Pity you speak of? Also, not everyone watches Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire... thesaurus.coming words might be helpful in handy for your non-Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire readers! LOL
ReplyDeleteI will start commenting on your blog sir! It's a television recapping site, but they do a lot of general entertainment news as well. It's pretty interesting. I really like reading the recaps of shows that I feel like I'm always missing stuff (like Mad Men).
